By Train
New Haven is easily reached by train, either via Amtrak from New York or Boston or via Metro North service from New York or by local Connecticut Commuter Train Service from the surrounding towns. Trains leave approximately hourly to/from New York during the week (every two hours on weekends) and approximately every two to three hours to/from Boston. The New Haven railroad station is just a 5-minute drive to the medical center. There are always taxis available at the station. Just exit the station and you will see the taxi stand at the main entrance/exit. By Air
There are three major options for air service to/from New Haven. Tweed-New Haven airport is located 10 minutes from downtown by taxi or car and is serviced by US Airways through Philadelphia and Delta Airlines via Cincinnati. Bradley International Airport in Hartford offers flights on almost all major airlines. The airport is 40 miles north of New Haven in Windsor Locks (heading north on Interstate 1-91, take exit 40 to the airport.) There are three New York City area airports: LaGuardia and Kennedy in the city, and Newark in New Jersey.
Connecticut Limousine offers shuttle service to and from Bradley International Airport and all New York City area airports.
