Burim was born on September 22, 1961 in Kosova, Southern Europe.
Taught by his father,
his first photo graphs were black and white images of his family
and friends in his hometown, Prizren.
Sa a professional photographer, Burim lived in Turkey and
traveled and worked extensively in Asia, Africa and Western Europe.
He returned to Kosova in 1997 where he worked with international
Relief Agencies. Due to war conditions in 1999, he fled his country and was admitted as a refugee in the U.S.
Much of his work was destroyed during the Serbian military destruction.
Continuing to work in the U.S. as a photographer,
Burim strives to capture images that will promote better
understanding and peace in the world.
