Pediatric Radiology

Yale Pediatric Radiology is inextricably linked with all of the subspecialties of pediatrics, including surgery. It is located within the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, where three fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists are available for consultation and direction in ordering the optimum examination for a given patient problem. 

The Children's Hospital has dedicated equipment for plain radiography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. In addition, complete pediatric CT and MRI services are provided in the main radiology department of Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dedicated pediatric nurses supervise sedation when required and the technologists dealing with plain film and fluoroscopy studies are specially trained in working with children.
