The Child Psychiatric Inpatient Service in the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital provides intensive, specialized diagnosis and treatment for children from early childhood through age 16 who are suffering from severe psychiatric, developmental, and behavioral disorders. Under the leadership of child and adolescent psychiatrists, the inpatient service provies high quality intensive clinical intervention. It in the diagnosis and care of children and young adolescents with complex neuropsychiatric, behavioral and developmental disorders, including children with tic syndromes, obsessive/compulsive disorder, conduct disturbances, developmental disorders, depression, appetite disorders, and suicidality.
