Our clinical staff provides both primary and referral/consultation care at a number of clinical sites in New Haven to adolescents and young adults, ages 11 to 22 years old.

Primary Care Clinic

Problems of normal health and development
Reproductive health, including menstruation, contraception and pregnancy
Sexually transmitted diseases
Acute illnesses and injuries
Routine care of chronic illnesses, such as asthma, ADHD, evaluation and management of mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety and family issues.

Primary care is provided at the Yale-New Haven Hospital's Primary Care Center's Adolescent Clinic, and three school based clinics.

Hill Regional Career High School, under the direction of Alison Moriarty-Daley, APRN

Referral Clinic

Specialty Care includes assessment & treatment of the following:

Eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia and obesity)
GYN disorders (including menstrual problems, amenorrhea, abnormal vaginal bleeding)
Mental health disorders (including depression, anxiety, family/behavioral problems, school problems, ADHD, post traumatic stress disorder)

Special services offered include:
Dr. Sheryl Ryan also sees adolescents and young adults at 1 Long Wharf, 3rd Floor, New Haven, CT. The clinic operates primarily as a referral and consultative clinic for complex medical problems, such as eating disorders, obesity, gynecologic problems, emotional/behavioral concerns, or complex diagnostic problems.
