Yale Endocrinology provides state-of-the art diagnosis and therapy to those with endocrine (hormonal) and metabolic diseases and conditions. Yale Endocrinology physicians emphasize a personalized approach to care, tailoring the treatment program to the individual needs and capacities of the patient. Physicians work closely with endocrine surgeons, neurosurgeons, pediatric and reproductive endocrinologists, and radiologists to offer comprehensive care, which is carefully coordinated with referring physicians. Multidisciplinary programs include the Diabetes Center (see Programs & Centers), the Bone Center (see Programs & Centers), and programs in pituitary, adrenal, thyroid and renal stone diseases. Free diabetes educational programs are also available to all patients and their families.

Special services offered by this section include:

Diabetes Center, emphasizing tight control of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including insulin pump therapy and patient education
Multidisciplinary Thyroid Clinic, evaluating and treating patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and thyroiditis
Bone Center, with a focus on the treatment of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases on-site bone densitometry services are available
Multidisciplinary Renal Stone Disease Clinic, targeting the prevention of recurrent kidney stones
Pituitary Program, working in close conjunction with Neurosurgery and Therapeutic Radiology in the treatment of pituitary tumors and hypopituitarism
On-site laboratory and radiological diagnostic procedures
